The Embassy of Hungary donated a 26-piece set of the reprint series “Historical counties and cities of Hungary” to The British Library. The reprint aims to serve Hungarian communities abroad as a source for historical knowledge of Hungary.
The original book is a well-known and respected encyclopedia from the early 20th century, detailing the current economy, geography and history of the shires of Hungary at that time. The reprint includes an English language summary volume, for those interested in Hungary, but not speaking the language. The donated series will be part of the Hungarian collection in The British Library.
