The Embassy of Hungary in London, together with the Hungarian Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design started the initiative to provide an exhibition platform for young Hungarian artists in the UK. This fourth instalment presents painter Mónika Kárándi, who presents her exhibition called ‘Stunning Beaches’. According to curator Zsófia Kókai (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) the paintings offer a symbolic system, deriving from daily routine and one-off, unrepeatable moments. Their collage like spaces become a personal symbolic system that invites the viewer to step closer, divesting them from their outsider feeling.
