The Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations Zoltán Kovács visited London on 4 February 2019, where he hosted a background talk with representatives of prominent British media, gave an interview to BBC News and met the editor-in-chief of the Guardian.

The programme of the one-day-visit started with a background talk attended by prominent British and Hungarian journalist from the BBC News, The Economist, the Economic Intelligence Unit, the Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, the Daily Mail, The Sun and the MTI. Zoltán Kovács gave an interview to the BBC News Beyond 100 Days show, explaining how the focus of the EP election campaign will be on the question of migration.

The Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations had talks with the Hungarian sociologist and international commentator Frank Füredi, who was the former professor of the University of Kent in Canterbury. Mr Kovács met the editor-in-chief of the Guardian, Katherine Viner and other noted editors and journalist and briefed them about recent political and economic developments in Hungary.
