The State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry for Innovation and Technology met representatives of Innovate UK – Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) to learn about KTN’s main programs with special focus on support of academic sectors’ RD commercialization and SME sector’s digitalization.

He also met leaders of the University College London Consultants (UCLC), UCL’s advisory team. UCL is the third largest university in the United Kingdom, currently in the first place in the research excellence rankings. Secretary György learned about the unique mechanisms UCL developed to engage with industry, commercialize academics’ IP output and to develop the necessary entrepreneurial mindset and toolset among academics and students.

During his visit, the State Secretary participated in the Embassy’s annual UK-Hungary Creative industries gala dinner, focusing on the development of bilateral film industry relations.
