The duration of the procedure is 8-20 days (provided the application is complete). Should you apply for a passport in Hungary (with the delivery/collection also being in Hungary), you have the opportunity to do so using a fast track service (lasting 1, 3 or 5 days depending on your choice) for extra charge.

If you apply for your travel document in Hungary, you may opt for its collection abroad:

• in case of passports by paying the consular administration fee at the consular office at the time of collection;
• in case of ID cards, there is no additional fee involved.

If you are outside Hungary, you may submit your application for a travel document at a consular office abroad.

Documents for personal collection are usually available within 20-40 days from the date of submission in London. Fast track service is not available.

The online submission of applications related to travel documents is possible only in a very limited number of cases – these are the following: reporting and replacing a lost/stolen/destroyed travel document or applying for a secondary passport.
